Once again we are trying a tour with a slightly different flavour and for April 2011 we have planned a photographic tour in Patagonia and concentrating on one of the most beautiful regions of the country – the famous Torres del Paine National Park. This is a place where mountains, glaciers, wetlands, steppes and forests come together to provide a huge diversity of habitats for a vast selection of wildlife. We shall be hoping to take not only amazing scenic shots of the area but also spend time looking for the apex predator of the region - the Puma. Torres del Paine is probably the best area in the world to see this big cat and we travel at a time when the adults should be hunting for their well grown youngsters. We shall also make sure we try and obtain great views of huge Andean Condors and stunning Magellanic Woodpeckers, as well as many other mammal and bird species while we are here. The accommodation in Torres del Paine is also very well situated, comfortable and with great views.
